About Silex

Silex Resource Corporation is a newly established venture operating in Manitoba, Canada. Silex Resource Corporation is built on decades of experience in engineering, natural resource extraction, land acquisition, and environmental and regulatory approvals. Its founders bring global expertise across drilling, mining, water, and oil & gas operations. While the company itself is recent, it is backed by a strong foundation of professional knowledge and a proven track record in delivering complex, resource-focused projects. Silex was established solely to responsibly develop and extract high-quality silica, tapping into a resource that is in growing demand globally.

What is our mission?

Silex’s mission is to responsibly develop high-quality silica resources while minimizing environmental impact, helping position Canada as a world leader in the global silica supply chain.

What is Silex currently doing to work towards their mission?

Over the past decade, the company’s founders have focused on designing and planning the project, including the engineering and technological components necessary for its success. With that groundwork in place, now is the right time to begin putting the project into action. Silex has identified a preferred geographic location, introduced the potential project to Indigenous Rights Holders, government entities, and local stakeholders, and obtained a Borehole Licence from the Province of Manitoba to extract silica samples for testing.

While Silex may eventually seek an Environmental Licence to support the commercial extraction of silica, the potential project remains in its early stages. As such, early engagement is important to identify Rights Holder, stakeholder and other interests to inform project planning as it evolves.

To date, Silex has retained several consultants to assist with various components of their proposed project:

Landmark Planning & Design Inc – Public and Stakeholder Engagement Consultant.
Landmark’s role is to share information about the study and engage with Indigenous Rights Holders, municipal decision makers, stakeholders, and members of the public.

SLR Consulting – Sustainability Consultant
SLR’s role is to assist with the environmental and social impact assessment of the proposed project.

Hatch Ltd – Engineering Consultant.
Hatch’s role is to review and verify the engineering component of the proposed project.
